We will begin working on adding and subtracting numbers in Spanish. Here are the words to study: once-eleven, doce-twelve, trece-thirteen, catorce-fourteen, quince-fifteen, dieciseis-sixteen, diecisiete-seventeen, dieciocho-eighteen, diecinueve-nineteen, veinte-twenty, mas-addition, menos-subtraction, son-equals.

We will focus on activities that are related to the expression, Me duele…..(My ? hurts.) Here are the words to study: Me duele la nariz-My nose hurts, la boca-mouth, ojo-eye, pie-foot, garganta-throat, corazon-heart, cabeza-head, pierna-leg.

We will focus on reading Dr. Suess books in Spanish to celebrate his birthday on March 2.

Students will draw a person. After drawing the person, cut him/her out. Please draw and label the clothes in Spanish. For example, design a shirt and write the word camisa on it. Students must choose at least 10 ariticles of clothing. Draw the clothes and label the clothes in Spanish. Once the students have drawn and label the clothes in Spanish, cut them out. This assignment is due on Feb. 22, 2013. Here are the words for this activity: camisa-shirt, pantalones-pants, zapatos-shoes, calcetines-socks, gorro-hat, abrigo-coat, vestido-dress, falda-skirt, guantes-gloves, botas-boots, chaqueta-jacket,...

We will discuss the African presence in Mexico for Black History Month. Students will learn about Gaspar Yanga and how he led thousands of slaves to freedom.  

5 Feb

Students will read the Kiss Box in Spanish. After reding the students will make a kiss box to take home for Valentine’s Day.
